Sr. Security Engineer for MSP

Top-rated Managed IT Services (MSP) provider looking for a Security Support Engineer to join our Support Services team.  

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on technical experience across Microsoft Azure/SharePoint/Teams/Office 365 platforms with a keen business sense and exceptional customer service/client-facing skills, for mid-level commercial clients.

Must be comfortable in a highly visible, fast-paced, multi-client, Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) environment. Advanced knowledge and trouble shooting skills required. Must be able to work well and quickly to solve client issues. Should be tenacious and want to get the job done. Excellent initiative, organization, customer service and communication skills. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

The Security Support Engineer will provide remote technical support to clients. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and react promptly to support requests with rapid resolution.

The Security Support Engineer should have experience providing technical support for desktops and laptops, printers, servers, software, and advanced networking utilizing remote access tools, chat and email support, telephone support, and onsite/field support. Resolve hardware and software-related issues utilizing existing education, training, and experience as well as manufacturer knowledge bases, documented fixes, and other technical articles.

The Security Support Engineer will perform tasks to secure and harden cloud architecture, assist the security department in resolving technical issues, work with security scores, Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, Conditional Access and other MS Cloud security features, Intune/Autopilot/Azure AD.

The Security Support Engineer will work with a variety of security projects, and other technologies as needed: Citrix/Networking/Cybersecurity.

The Security Support Engineer may provide prompt after-hours support for incident response, client emergencies, and other business critical events, when necessary and/or scheduled.

Experience with an RSM/PSA tool (ConnectWise preferred) to create and update service tickets documenting all correspondence, work performed, referenced resources, and resolution procedures.

Create, update, and maintain written documentation, key network and asset information securely and confidentially.

Able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Technical Skills preferred: Windows Administration and troubleshooting, basic scripting skills, O365, Azure, Azure AD, AD, Intune, Autopilot, Multifactor / SAML / OKTA / AD Connect.

Bachelor's degree and/or certification in a related field required.

Potential for occasional local and/or travel within the United States for onsite client site support.

Salary: From $75,000.00 per year, DOE
